As I said yesterday, inevitably one ends up with way more photos than fit in the set of 12, some of which would have fit thematically, some which wouldn’t have. I’m going to post the thematically related ones first, which means more blurry weirdness. After that I’ll post some that prove I know how to focus.
It’s been a month or two since the last time I posted – I’m going to plead work and personal travel craziness, and the holidays, and anything else I can come up with to justify the gap to myself.
Regardless. In the interim I went to Venice with a group of fine people, including David and Cynthia, as part of what was nominally a workshop. I say nominally, because we seemed to spend more of our time picking on David, and putting amazing food and wine in our mouths. I did manage to make some photos in the down time, though.
I’ll start things off with the “set of twelve” that David has people target as an output for the week. Twelve is a clever number – it’s enough that you do have to work to get that many… but by the time you have twelve strong candidates, you often have way more, so then it becomes an exercise of cutting down, which is Way. More. Agonizing.
Anyway. Here’s my set of twelve, which I will follow up with really a pile of other photos.
Happy new year, and may 2019 bring peace and happiness to us all.
You know, sometimes grass gets emo.
