It is funny to me how many of my photos are essentially the same composition. This one, for example, although shot miles and days apart, is largely the same composition as yesterday's photo: Strong horizontal element occupying roughly the top 1/7 of the frame, another strong horizontal element defining the bottom of the frame, and then some graphical element on the "stage" in between.
I first noticed this in my work when I went to a talk by Sam Abell, who had a series of slides (slides!) pointing out one of his repeated patterns, the (strong) (triangular) (element) in the bottom of the frame.
At first it bothered me, but eventually I decided that if it didn't bother Mr. Abell, I shouldn't let it bother me.
